State police are investigating a Troy, New Hampshire, town employee after learning she may have been involved in the theft and or misappropriation of funds.
Cynthia Satas, 62, was identified as Troy's welfare administrator and administrative assistant to the select board.
Satas allegedly used some of the funds to pay utility bills and property rental fees.
Police executed search warrants at Satas' office at the Troy Town Hall as well as her residence. Several file boxes and two computers were seized.
Charges will likely be issued against Satas, according to police.
