Police Investigating Alleged Pit Bull Attack

Police in the Vermont city of St. Albans are investigating after a man was allegedly attacked by a pit bull.

Police in the Vermont city of St. Albans are investigating after a man was allegedly attacked by a pit bull.

On Monday before 5:30 p.m., a 52-year-old man says he was attacked by a pit bull on Lake Street near Food City. He was treated for puncture wounds to his hand at North West Medical Center.

Police are working to identify the dog and its owner. The dog is described as a medium size brown and white pit bull with a green nylon collar. The victim says the animal headed north into the wooded area on the north side of Food City after the attack.
