Police Investigating Infant Death in Hudson, Massachusetts

Police are investigating the death of an infant in Hudson, Massachusetts on Tuesday morning.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said Hudson police responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive infant on Church Street around 7:49 a.m. The child was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.

State police assigned to the district attorney's office are investigating, as is the standard protocol in all child death cases.

The case has been referred to the chief medical examiner's office to determine the cause and manner of the child's death.

The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families said it has received a report on the death and is investigation in collaboration with law enforcement.

They said no further information will be released due to privacy requirements.
