Police Investigating New Haven Homicide Need Help Identifying Man

Police investigating the homicide of a 21-year-old man are asking the public to help identify a man seen on surveillance tapes. 

Muhanad Jawad was killed in New Haven on Oct. 18. 

The man seen on several surveillance cameras where the murder took place has not been identified. Police said he is not a suspect, but they would like to question him. 

Based on evidence, police said Jawad was targeted by his murderer and robbery was not a motive.

At the time of his death, Jawad had several criminal cases pending, including firearm theft, assault on an officer and drug dealing, New Haven police said.
