Police Investigating at Funeral Home Find Man Sleeping in Closet

The man told police his last memory was drinking at a restaurant.

Police responded to a report of a burglary at a funeral home in Milford and found a 20-year-old man sleeping in the closet who did not remember anything since having drinks at a restaurant the night before, police said.

Police responded to the Cody-White Funeral Home at 107 Broad St. just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday to investigate what was reported as a burglary and found 20-year-old Peter Radzwillas, of Hamden, asleep in the closet, according to police.

After waking, Radzwillas told officers the last thing he remembered was having drinks at a local restaurant the night before, police said.

He has been charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief and was released on a promise to appear.

Radzwillas is due in court on Sept. 6.
