    Police: Man Beats 91-Year-Old Father With Baseball Bat in Brunswick, Maine

    Police in Maine have arrested a man for beating his 91-year-old father with a baseball bat, necn affiliate WCSH reports.

    Christopher Porter, 49, was arrested Friday by Brunswick Police.

    Responders were called to a home at 550 Mere Point Rd. Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. Inside, they found James Porter with a serious head injury.

    The victim was being treated at Maine Medical Center. There has been no word on his condition, but police say he was still conscious when he was taken away by the ambulance.

    Christopher Porter has been charged with elevated aggravated assault. After his arrest, police say he was transported to Mid-Coast hospital in Brunswick, apparently for a mental health check.
