According to police, a 21-year-old man was trapped inside his vehicle after his Mercedes left the roadway and struck a tree early Saturday.
The driver was the only one in the car.
He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
There were no other vehicles involved in the accident and the man's name hasn't been released at this time.
