Police: Man Tried to ‘Tickle' 2 Little Girls at Indoor Play Area

A Massachusetts man is accused of inappropriately touching two girls at an indoor play area.

Justin G. Kettell, 38, of Sagamore Beach pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 and assault and battery in Plymouth District Court on Monday.

Kingston police say they got a 911 call on Sunday afternoon from a parent at an indoor play area for 3- to 12-year-olds inside of the Kingston Collection mall called Billy Beez.

The mother told responding officers that her daughter and a friend had been chased around by an adult man who was trying to "tickle" them. The man was allegedly ran away after two other parents and a Billy Beez employee tried to stop him; however, one of the parents took cell phone photos that were then forwarded to police, according to authorities.

Released 911 calls describe the scene:

Dispatcher: "Hello?"
Caller: "Hi, I was just told ... someone just called, the police are on their way now. My daughter was just assaulted at Busy Bees in Kingston."

Caller: "My daughter and her girlfriend were at Busy Bees and they, the man was chasing them and grabbing and tickling them in the play house, and I confronted him and he was intoxicated."

Police say they identified Kettell from the photos and then put out an alert to surrounding towns. He was arrested by Plymouth police a short time later.

Kettell was ordered to be held on $20,000 with the condition he stays away from the the Kingston Collection mall, have no contact with children under 16 and wear a GPS monitoring bracelet.

It's not clear if Kettell has an attorney.

One parent told necn she's on alert regardless of the setting.

"There's so many things going on, so you're never safe no matter where you are," Helena Hajnasr said.
