Police: Man Wore ‘Scream' Mask During Liquor Store Robbery

A security video shows the two men entering the store, one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun

Police are on the hunt for two suspects who held up a liquor store at gunpoint in Lowell, Massachusetts on Wednesday night.

A security video shows the two armed men entering the store around 9:30 p.m., one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun. Both men were dressed in dark clothing, one wearing a white mask similar to the one worn by the killer in the movie "Scream."

The suspects demanded cash and eventually fled out of the store, heading toward Rogers Street. Neither employee was injured in the incident.

No employees were hurt during the robbery.

Police believe that the men had tried robbing a gas station on Lakeview Avenue about 45 minutes earlier. The clerk there spotted the robbers outside and locked the store before they could enter.
