Police Nab Suspects Planning to Rob Bank

Massachusetts State Police say they have arrested suspects who were about to rob a bank

Two people were taken into custody following an attempted robbery at a Somerville, Massachusetts bank on Thursday morning.

Edwin O'Grady, 55, of New Boston, New Hampshire, has been charged with attempt to commit a crime of armed robbery. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Somerville District Court. The identity of the second suspect is still under investigation.

Both suspects were taken into custody at 10:55 a.m. by Somerville Police at the Rockland Trust Bank at 399 Highland Avenue in Somerville. Massachusetts State Police tweeted shortly before 1 p.m. that they, along with the FBI and Somerville Police, ahd arrested the suspects before they were able to rob the bank.
