A woman drowned in the Pemigewasset River in Lincoln, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, according to state police.
Police responded to a report of a missing person in the river around 7:36 p.m. after her boyfriend called, saying that his girlfriend was last seen swimming in the river that morning.
A search was conducted on Wednesday night and resumed Thursday, when they found her body in the river in the vicinity of Lodge Road and South Peak Road around 12:23 p.m.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of kin.
The incident remains under investigation.
