Police Ruling Out Leads in Baby Doe Case

Massachusetts State Police are ruling out leads in the investigation into the body of a Baby Doe who was found off the coast of Deer Island in Winthrop.

Many Facebook users led police to look into a girl named Sophia Moux, but she has been located alive and well. Other possible subjects who have been ruled out include Aliayah Lunsford of West Virginia, Ayla Reynolds of Maine, and Caleigh Harrison of Rockport.

The girl's remains were found June 25 by a dog walker. She is believed to have been about 4 years old. A computer-generated image of the girl's face has been placed on dozens of billboards statewide.

Police thank the public for their continued interest and ask anyone with information to text GIRL to 67283 or call the tip line at 617-396-5655.
