Suspect in Custody After 100 MPH Chase

The incident reportedly began on I-95 in New Hampshire

Two suspects are in custody after allegedly leading police on a car chase at speeds in excess of 100 mph on Saturday night, police said.

The chase began on Interstate 95 in the town of North Hampton, New Hampshire, when a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for lane violations. The suspect vehicle was found abandoned a short time later in Kittery, Maine.

Kittery Police, Maine State Police, and New Hampshire State Police began their search. Darman Rosario, 28, of Lawrence, Massachusetts was located and taken into custody in the lobby of the Ramada Inn in Kittery. He was charged as a fugitive from justice and is being held at the York County Jail.

A female suspect was found hiding in the area of the abandoned vehicle around 11 p.m. She was taken into custody, but later released.

The incident remains under investigation.
