Police Seek Truck Driver in Accident That Hurt New Hampshire Trooper

State police are searching for the driver of a tractor trailer who fled after he struck a cruiser and injured a trooper in Warner, New Hampshire.

The trooper was sitting in his cruiser with the emergency lights flashing after he stopped to assist a motorist who'd gone off the road. Authorities say a truck driver who was going too fast for the road conditions hit the cruiser, knocking it about 283 feet away. It happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

State police say the truck driver pulled to the side of the road but later fled.

The trooper suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The vehicle is believed to have a white box trailer with a Canadian registration plate.
