Police Trooper Resigns Amid Facebook Scandal

Jon Graham had been suspended from his job after a citizen complained some of his posts were racist, anti-gay

Corporal Jon Graham, a Vermont State Police trooper, has resigned, effective immediately, amid a Facebook scandal.

Graham, a 16-year state police veteran, was suspended from his job earlier this week after a citizen complained some of his off-duty social media posts were racist and anti-gay.

After a review, it was determined that not only were there alleged violations of the department's social media policy, but also alleged violations of the Vermont State Police's code of conduct.

The Director of the Vermont State Police, Cpl. Tom L'Esperance, has expressed his apologies to anyone who had been offended by Graham's posts.

The Facebook page has since been taken down.
