Woburn Police officers arrested a man and a woman on drug-related charges early Thursday evening.
Raymond Sanchez, 32, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and Josmil Rosario, 25, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, were taken into custody after police pursued their vehicle.
A four-year-old child was inside the vehicle, and was placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
"These arrests are an example of strong detective work by the Woburn Police Narcotics Unit and the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force," Woburn Police Chief Robert Ferullo said. "I am proud of the police work and strong municipal partnerships on display in this case, and we have now taken potentially dangerous drug suppliers off of our streets. Our officers acted professionally to avoid any harm coming to the innocent child caught in the middle of these nefarious and illegal activities."
