Police Warn of New Deadly Designer Drug

Two people arrested by police in Everett, Mass. over the weekend

Police in the Metro Boston area have issued a warning about a new deadly designer drug.

Over the weekend, two people were arrested by Everett Police for displaying strange, self-destructive behavior believed to be caused by the ingestion of NBom or 25i.

This new substance has recently emerged on the illicit drug scene, according to authorities. It is being marketed to school-aged children and has been linked to at least three teenage deaths across the nation.

Police say the drug is often sold as LSD for as little as $1.50 a dose. Officials say it is a toxic chemical with horrific side effects. The drug can look like a sticker or blotter paper -- or take the form of a powder or pill.

Drug educators say it is one of the most disturbing developments in the drug scene in the last 20 years.
