Massachusetts State Police responded to a fatal crash on I-495 north in Milford on Thursday morning.
According to police, the 39-year-old driver of the vehicle was traveling on Route 495 southbound near the area of exit 19 when his car left the roadway, entered the median and crashed.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the operator will not be released until the family is notified.
Lanes on the southbound side were closed for periods of time Thursday morning, and all were reopened by 12:30 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
