Protesters to Take Part in 4-Mile March

Protesters in Boston are using Martin Luther King Jr. Day as an opportunity to call for an end to police violence

Protesters in Boston are using Martin Luther King Jr. Day as an opportunity to call for an end to police violence.

Starting at 1 Monday afternoon, a four-mile march will take the group from the Old State House in Boston to the African Meeting House on Joy Street.

The march will be one of more than two-dozen similar events going on across the country.

Protestors are hoping this will lead to jail time for cops who unlawfully kill, justice for the victim's families, but also increased rates of pay, defunding prisons, ending mass incarceration, no Olympics in Boston, and putting an end to U.S. conflicts overseas.
