Providence Club to be Shut Down Temporarily After Shooting

The sanctions come after the June 21 shooting that left 31-year-old Anselmo Depina with a minor injury

The Providence Board of Licenses, Rhode Island, has ordered sanctions for a city club after a shooting outside the building last month.

The Providence Journal (http://bit.ly/2afBZno ) reports that the board on Thursday ordered Vault Lounge to shut down from July 27-31 and roll back weekend closing hours from 2 a.m. to 1 a.m. for 60 days. It was also ordered to boost weekend security.

The sanctions come after the June 21 shooting that left 31-year-old Anselmo Depina with a minor injury.

The board says the shooting is the club's fourth incident within several years and the first involving violence.

Vault Lounge CEO Rosemary Morel Garcia couldn't be reached for comment Thursday
