An Everett, Massachusetts, suspect has been held without bail in connection with the alleged rape of a teen who was found unresponsive in a driveway, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

On March 7 around 6:45 a.m., a teen girl was found in the driveway of 32 Appleton Street in Everett. A resident of the property says the woman's clothing was in disarray and blood was found near her. She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where physicians determined she had a blood alcohol level of .237. The victim's condition has steadily improved.

According to authorities, the victim had been drinking on Waters Avenue with about 40 other young people before she was found. Witnesses say that the woman left with Sami Sherif, 18, who later returned to the party by himself.

Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office is investigating. Sherif is set to appear in Malden District Court on Wednesday, April 1.
