Record-Setting Rivals Face Off in Thanksgiving Football Match

Another Thanksgiving tradition, of course, is high school football, as many schools take to the field to face their arch rivals.

For players as Wellesley High School and Needham High School in Massachusetts, it’s a tradition that goes back nearly a century, the oldest in America’s public school system.

The match on Thursday was the 95th showdown between the two schools.

Neither team made it to the playoffs, so this game was their Super Bowl.

Wellesley won last year and went into this game with 60 Thanksgiving wins to Needham’s 57.

At Halftime, Needham led Wellesley 20 to 7. In the end Needham won to Wellesley’s 13.
