No injuries were reported

Part of a Vermont highway was temporarily shut down on Sunday after state police said a recreational vehicle caught fire in Barnet.

Fire officials responded to the blaze on Interstate 91 northbound at 4:15 p.m. where the 30-foot camper was completely engulfed in flames.

Traffic came to a complete stop on the northbound side of the highway while crews fought the fire.

The RV was a total loss but no injuries were reported.

By late afternoon, there was only one lane of travel open while crews removed the vehicle.
