Registered Sex Offender Wearing Only Leather Jacket and Underwear Charged With Larceny, Other Offenses

A Massachusetts man, wearing only a black leather jacket, underwear, and sneakers, was arrested early Friday morning in Dudley.

Michael Prim, reported to be a registered sex offender in the state of Connecticut, faces several charges, including larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possession of burglarious tools, larceny and possession of a Class C and E substance.

Prim, 31, of Webster was seen fleeing a Kia Optima in Wysocki Dr. area around 3 a.m. He jumped over a fence before being located behind some bushes in the area.

Earlier, police were dispatched to 17 Wysocki Dr. for a report of a single car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers saw a Honda Civic against a tree in a wooded area behind a building. The car had been driven without the knowledge of the owner. It is believed that the car was in the process of being stolen at the time of the accident.

Multiple items were in Prim's possession when he was taken into custody, including car charges, loose change, a Pontiac owner's manual from an unknown vehicle, GPS devices, phone chargers, an iPod and prescription medications.

A white hat found in the stolen Civic was identified as belonging to Prim.

It was discovered that several other vehicles in the area had also been broken into.

It is believed that Prim removed his GPS ankle bracelet. The Connecticut Department of Probation has been notified.
