According to the Telegram & Gazette, Christian Sierra, Cailey Thibault and Ashley Cormier pleaded not guilty to perjury in Fitchburg, Mass. death investigation

Three people have pleaded not guilty to perjury in the investigation into the death of 5-year-old Jeremiah Oliver, court records show.

The Fitchburg, Massachusetts, boy was found dead in Sterling this April. His disappearance sparked an intensive investigation into the state's Department of Children and Families, as he was last seen by relatives in September of 2013 but not reported missing until December.

Christian Sierra, Cailey Thibault and Ashley Cormier, all of Fitchburg, were indicted last month, accused of misleading the police investigation.

According to the Telegram and Gazette, Christian Sierra is the brother of Alberto Luis Sierra, who was arrested and charged with kidnapping, assault and child endangerment after officials learned of Jeremiah Oliver's disappearance.

The boy's mother, Elsa Oliver, faces similar charges.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said after Jeremiah Oliver's body was found that the death appeared to be a homicide. No one has been charged in the death.
