Firefighters Knock Down Fast-Moving Blaze

Nobody was injured in the blaze

Multiple units responded to a five-alarm fire at 253 Arlington Street in Chelsea, Massachusetts. The fire moved fast and spread to neighboring buildings.

Six buildings in total were engulfed by the blaze. Each building was a two and a half story wood frame structure. The flames originated in the rear of one of the buildings.

Crews found heavy flames burning out of control when they arrived on scene.

Several companies, including Revere and Everett fire, assisted the Chelsea department in battling the blaze.

Everyone who was home at the time escaped safely. No one was injured. The Red Cross is assisting the families who were displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
