The owner of the New England Revolution and New England Patriots is reportedly in talks to build a soccer stadium in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

The Boston Globe reports that Robert Kraft is looking to make the former Bayside Expo Center the new home of the Revolution.

That center is now owned by the University of Massachusetts.

The Globe reports that university officials are in active talks with Kraft, but don't appear to be close to an agreement.

Kraft has for years wanted to move the Revolution out of Gillette Stadium in Foxboro and into a smaller facility specifically designed for soccer.

A spokesman for Kraft declined to comment Tuesday.

A statement from Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's office said, "Mayor Walsh has always been interested in exploring the possibility of a stadium in Boston and he is open to having a conversation about it. It's important that any discussion about a stadium includes how it can be used as a catalyst for bringing much-needed improvements to any surrounding neighborhoods."
