Police Thwart Armed Robbery at McDonald's

2 men stormed the fast-food restaurant across from the Boston Common

Two men donning masks stormed the McDonald's restaurant across from the Boston Common early Thursday morning.

Authorities say the pair tied up two employees, and were rushing out the back door with stolen cash, when Boston police officers arrested them at gunpoint.

One of the men was armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

The employees did not need medical attention, according to a Boston police spokesman.

Investigators are trying to determine if the two suspects were linked to an armed robbery at the same restaurant on Oct. 4.

The two suspects were identified as Mason McKoy, 27, of Dorchester and Andre Nesbeth, 26, and also a Dorchester resident.

McKoy and Nesbeth were arraigned for armed robbery and kidnapping in Boston Municipal Court and held on $100,000 bail. They will return to court on Dec. 4.
