Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Asked Roger Goodell to Return Team's Draft Picks

He spoke to reporters at the league owners meetings in Florida

Patriots owner Robert Kraft told reporters Monday that he wrote a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell saying that he believes his team should get its draft picks back.

Kraft, speaking to a group of reporters at the league owners meetings in Boca Raton, Florida, said he wrote the letter more than a month ago,  according to ProFootball Talk. He wouldn't say whether or not he received a response.

"We've done everything we can do," Kraft said.

The team lost this year's first round pick, a future fourth and was fined $1 million by the league for its role in the Deflategate controversy.

Quarterback Tom Brady was also suspended for four games, which was overturned on appeal. The NFL is still appealing that decision and it remains possible that Brady could wind up missing time next season.
