Two members of the state's all-Democratic congressional delegation say they won't take part in moments of silence in Congress to remember the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting until lawmakers get serious about gun control.

Rep. Katherine Clark said Monday that if the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community has taught the country anything, it's that silence is the enemy of progress.

Clark says she won't participate in moments of silence from a Congress that embraces empty gestures rather than taking action to prevent gun violence.

Congressmen Seth Moulton also tweeted that he's done with the tradition of sending "thoughts and prayers" first rather than demanding policy changes.

He says moments of silence underscore the Republicans' "cowardly silence on even voting on gun reform."
