Rhode Island Computer Glitch Affects Thousands of Voters

Officials say the error will not affect the ability to vote

A computer glitch at a Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles listed thousands of voters as unaffiliated to party.

According to Rhode Island's Secretary of State, the glitch affected more than 12,000 voters who used the DMV's recently upgraded system.

Officials say they are working with the software's vendor to correct. The error does not affect the voter's ability to vote.
