It was a grand homecoming for The "Cumberland Boys of Summer," the Cumberland, Rhode Island, American Little League team, who played their hearts out in the Little League World Series.

There were plenty of hugs and tears to go around. The boys haven't been home for weeks.

"It's awesome, I'm so glad to have him here," said mom Nadine Provost.

"It's great to finally see her again," said Nadine's son Tyler.

"I think we're just anxious to see our kids. They're 12 and they haven't been home in a really long time and we can't wait to get our arms around them," said Tara Slack, Jayden Struble's mom.

It was also an emotional and special moment for the hundreds who came out to Diamond Hill Park in Cumberland to welcome them home.

Team Coach Dave Belisle, again, was a highlight.

After the team was eliminated from the World Series with an 8-7 loss to Chicago, his speech of pride and inspiration to the team went viral.

"When I made that speech I didn't know that the mic was on, because that speech was meant for them, so let's hear it for them, that speech was for them," said an emotional Belisle.

The speech was for kids like Trey Thibeault, otherwise known as "T-Bow time."

Thibeault hit two home runs in the series, and is savoring every moment of the experience.

"I still can't believe I'm here right now, still can't believe I went to the World Series, it hasn't sunk in yet," said Thibeault.

The team was so inspirational with their good sportsmanship they now have requests for make the national TV circuit.

Then it's back to school time!
