Runaway Deer Caught in South Boston

A deer that was running through South Boston, creating traffic backups, has been caught.

The deer was spotted Monday evening dodging traffic in the streets of South Boston. It had been on the loose until officials caught up with the swift-footed creature on Tuesday afternoon.

Environmental police captured the deer, tranquilized it, and transported it to Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Massachusetts.

Workers monitored the deer as they released it back into the wild.
