I-95 in Old Saybrook Reopens After Sausage Truck Crash

I-95 North is has reopened at exit 67 in Old Saybrook after a box truck carrying 6,000 pounds of frozen sausage collided with a a tractor trailer carrying aluminum coil.

No serious injuries were reported.

Crews from the state Department of Transportation and the Department of Consumer Protection responded to the scene. A dumpster was also requested to dispose of the sausage.

The road was closed for about an hour and a half but has since reopened.

No other details were available.
