School Tightening Security After Burglary

The St. Johnsbury, Vermont, town school is beefing up security after a burglary that resulted in a stolen camera and laptop computer.

Superintendent Ranny Bledsoe says the thief or thieves broke a window to get into the school recently. She says police did get collect evidence, including fingerprints.

At a meeting last week, school directors decided to set a burglar alarm that was in place when the burglary occurred, but it was not armed.

The Caledonian Record reports the school is also planning to buy eight security cameras for around $15,000.
