Search For Missing Boater Underway In Fall River, Mass.

Authorities say foul play is not suspected at this time

Authorities in Fall River, Massachusetts are searching for a missing man who fell overboard while boating in South Watuppa Pond on Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the pond at about 4:45 p.m. when the search began. Crews continued searching until nightfall and resumed Sunday morning.

Police said the 35-year-old Fall River man had been with his wife, their two children, and another married couple who own the 20-foot cabin cruiser.

Multiple local and state agencies are conducting the search. A Sonar Boat is also assisting.

Authorities said foul play is not suspected at this time and it does not appear that alcohol played a role.
