A search is underway for a possible missing boater on Lake Winnipesaukee near Governor's Island in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire State Police - Marine Patrol learned of a power boat going in circles around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The caller reporter that there was a dog aboard but could not see any people
Officials were able to locate the vessel. The 17 foot boat eventually stopped and the dog was safely transported to short.
Search efforts were not able to locate the boat operator, an adult male, on Saturday. All dive operations were suspended at 9:00 P.M. and will resume on Sunday morning.
Marine Patrol boats remain on scene conducting surface searches.
