Main Street/Route 66 is closed in Willimantic, Connecticut, while police investigate a shooting, and half a dozen people are in custody for questioning, according to a police.
Police said the road is closed in the area of Riverside Drive after a man was shot in a nearby alley Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was shot in the arm or leg and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses said the victim was bleeding from the wrist.
Officers have taken five or six people into custody for questioning. No charges have been filed.
Police said they don't believe the shooting was random.
