Prosecutors say 36-year-old Hector Enamorado of Chelsea was arraigned Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Javier Ortiz just after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Enamorado also pleaded not guilty to armed assault with intent to murder a 34-year-old man who was shot and wounded in the same incident. The second man is expected to survive.

Enamorado was arrested Monday based on witness interviews and evidence gathered at the scene.

The two men were shot at a Chester Avenue residence. Both were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where one later died.
