Shooting Suspects in Police Custody

Vermont State Police say two suspects are in custody after a shooting in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

Vermont State Police are investigating a shooting in St. Johnsbury.

On May 10, police responded to 53 Caledonia Street for the report of two men who had forced their way into an apartment. Police say one of the suspects shot one of the occupants in the face with a pellet gun.

One of the suspects, Gregory Gosselin, was arrested on May 19. The second assailant, Derek Hackett, was arrested on May 22. He is charged with burglary, unlawful trespass, aggravated assault, and false information to law enforcement.

The condition of the victim has not been released.
