Showers Stick Around for the Week

Showers will hang on for the remainder of the week

It could be worse! Our Sunday ended up cloudy with showers, but most locations in New England saw some sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. The high temperature in Boston was 64°. Surprisingly, Caribou, Maine was the warmest location in the Northeast – the high temperature was 67° (to put that into perspective, it was only 64° in Washington DC). It was a pretty miserable day in Upstate New York. Syracuse and Buffalo stayed in the 40s. Rain changed to wet snow in the Catskills and Adirondacks.

Don’t laugh at our neighbors to the west. Our weather will be cooler for the remainder of the week ahead. High temperatures will only climb into the 50s most days. Our days will start off sunny and they’ll end with clouds and showers. The higher elevations of the Taconics, Berkshires, Greens and Whites could see several inches of snow --- Monday night into Tuesday morning. (More still will be possible Tuesday night and again on Wednesday night).

Showers will hang on for the remainder of the week. We are still looking at the potential of a more significant storm heading our way for next weekend. There is a light at the end of a cloudy, rainy tunnel. A warm up and drier weather is set to move in by the end of the 10-day forecast period.
