Despite the warm start to February, ski areas across New England are in great shape for the upcoming long holiday weekend.
Several feet of fresh snow still blankets much of ski country in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, and even in Southern New England the slopes are covered in white.
At the Blue Hills Ski Area in Canton, Massachusetts, up to 10 feet of snow sits on the trails according to General Manager Molly Ross.
She adds that snow making is scheduled to resume Friday night, before natural snow falls Saturday night.
Blue Hills Ski Area is set to open at 8 a.m. each day next week during the often busy February vacation week.
