A Rhode Island man who is the son of a state representative will return to court next month.
Matthew Fellela was arraigned Thursday on felony charges stemming from a hit-and-run.
He failed to appear in court Tuesday and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
His mother State Rep. Deborah Fellela, called the whole thing a misunderstanding.
Fellela is accused of ramming his mother's van into another car on Interstate 95, then fleeing the scene last month.
