New Hampshire State Police arrested an alleged drunk driver Saturday night.

Around 7:27 p.m., police responded to the complaint of an impaired driver that had just left the New Hampshire State Liquor Store. A trooper located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it near the Portsmouth Traffic Circle.

According to police, the suspect refused to stop when the trooper instructed him to do so, resulting in a pursuit. Ultimately, the suspect lost control of the vehicle and collided with a telephone pole and a parked car on Middle Street.

The suspect, 26-year-old Joshua St. Laurent of Epping, was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with minor injuries. He was charged aggravated DUI and disobeying a police officer.
