Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal crash in New Bedford.
Around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 140 southbound by the Philips Road and Church Street exit ramp.
Preliminary investigation reveals the motorist and sole occupant of the vehicle, 66-year-old Lazaro Rosa, lost control of the vehicle, drove over the grass at the exit ramp and crossed over Philips Road. The vehicle came to a rest on the ramp onto Route 140 southbound.
Rosa was determined to be deceased on scene. Police say he may have suffered a medical incident prior to the crash, but the cause remains under investigation.
