Investigators are looking for two suspects after a Massachusetts State Police trooper was dragged while a man was being arrested in Chelsea.

Chelsea Police and the gang unit with state police had stopped a car and detained 29-year-old Luis Cortez from Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

After Cortez was taken out of the car, police say, the passenger in the front seat jumped into the driver's seat and drove about 20 feet, dragging a trooper before the trooper got loose from the car.

A Chelsea Police officer was almost hit, as well.

The suspect who dragged the trooper and a passenger from the back seat fled on foot after stopping the car. Neither has been found.

Cortez is expected to be arraigned Thursday on drug and motor vehicle charges.
