Martial arts training equipment caused quite a scare in one Massachusetts community on Tuesday.
Saugus High School was placed on lockdown after reports of a student carrying a knife on a bus.
Police responded to a bus stop around 7 a.m. on the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Central St.
After an investigation, police determined what was believed to be a knife was in fact the training equipment. The lockdown was lifted shortly thereafter around 8:30 a.m.
The student did not make any threats and no criminal charges were filed.
