Students Succeeding With New Standardized Test Prep Program

Like many 17-year-olds, Haley Wissler is spending her summer scouting colleges and getting her application ready for some competitive programs; however, she has a leg up on the competition thanks to an online tool that's revolutionizing SAT and ACT test prep.

Tom Rose, a graduate of MIT's Sloan School of Management is CEO and co-founder of Testive. The company uses algorithm-based software that personalizes practice test questions based on students' goals and ability levels. Students find out immediately if they got a question right or wrong with videos that help explain why.

Haley's mom, Joanna, found out about Testive through a Facebook ad. What drew her to it was the technology, combined with one-on-one tutoring through video chat. She hopes her investment in the program will pay off when those financial aid award letters come in.

Haley's score went up 190 points after three months of using the program.
