Suspect Convicted of Fatally Striking Pregnant Woman

A Massachusetts woman has been convicted of motor vehicle manslaughter while intoxicated after she fatally struck a pregnant woman.

A Massachusetts woman has been convicted of motor vehicle manslaughter while intoxicated after she fatally struck a pregnant woman.

According to the Norfolk District Attorney, 47-year-old Karen Blau from Sharon, Massachusetts, struck the pregnant woman on who was crossing Lincoln Street in Stoughton in July of 2013.

Blau was also found guilty of reckless abandonment of a child.

The district attorney's office says Blau will be held sentenced on Friday. She faces a minimum, mandatory sentence of five years in state prison and a maximum sentence of 20 years.
