Police in Vermont are looking for a woman who robbed a gas station in Barre after attempting to rob a supermarket in Montpelier.

Montpelier police received a call from the Shaw's Supermarket on Sunday night saying the woman showed a note demanding money from an employee at the customer service counter. No weapon was shown. The employee indicated the store safe was locked. The suspect then fled, possibly meeting a male accomplice outside.

A short time later, the Champlain Farms in Barre reported a woman matching the same description came into the store and demanded money using a note. She fled with some cash.

The woman was described as white and heavyset with sandy brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. She was about 20-22 years old.
